Western Red Cedar Wood Veneer
Cedar wood, well known for its pleasant scent, is valued for its many properties. It is naturally weather and insect resistant. With a pleasing color range, from pinkish red to reddish brown that ages to a silver gray, Cedar veneer has a wide range of possibilities for the woodworker including furniture, linen chests, humidors, boats, and musical instruments.
Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) grows on the west coast of North America, from southern Alaska through Northern California, and in the Rocky Mountains. This premium veneer has a very consistent, uniform, reddish-brown color with tight vertical grain lines. The Uniform-color cedar is a great choice for large projects that need a standard look.
Premium Western Red Cedar Veneer is available in 4’x8’ and 4’x10’ sheets, with a choice of backers including 10 mil, 22.2 mil (BFV-Bubble Free Veneer), and Peel and Stick (PSA).
