Aspen Veneer

Aspen (Populus tremuloides) has a cream-gray to a very light brown heartwood.  The wood is straight-grained, with a fine, uniform texture.  Aspen wood is known as being 100% splinterless.

Aspen trees grow over a large portion of Canada and the Great Lakes States.  Aspen is the most widespread tree in North America making it a sustainable choice as it grows rapidly in areas cleared by fire or harvest.  A single Aspen tree is part of a much larger organism connected by a large root system that supports multiple trees.

Other names for Aspen include Quaking Aspen, Canadian Aspen, Aspen Poplar, Poplar, and Trembling Aspen.

Aspen is used in paneling, vehicle interiors, children’s toys, cabinetry and interior paneling.

Aspen Veneer is available in 4’x8’ sizing with a choice of backers including 10 mil, 22.2 mil (Bubble free), and special-order Peel and Stick (PSA).
