Here is how Ron described the project,
"This is the Paradigm Executive Desk and is the pinnacle of my personal office space design collection. This desk is designed and hand crafted for someone who has arrived. Measuring almost 10' on both branches of the curved top, it will take a large executive space to nest this bad boy. When clients walk into your office and see the Paradigm Desk, they will understand just who they are dealing with!
The work surface is structurally engineered to never bend or warp by layering framing and underlying wood, cross-grain. Then it is overlain with the highest quality figured, Pommele Bubinga Veneer. I edge band it with 1" thick solid, Bubinga so the work edge will take whatever you throw at it. Two small pencil drawers with undermount, full extension slides complete this simple design that speaks for itself.
A custom designed and hand textured aluminum edge band is applied just under the top. We inlay a 1/4" thick, laser cut Aluminum Sweep into the top so it lies flush. The legs are based on the idea of a steer horn run through the eyes of a Cubist. They are 3 sided and curve & taper from an 10" triangle top to a 2" foot.
