These Cherry Veneer night stands were built to match a cherry bed in the master bedroom. The design simply required a drawer and a shelf. No stain was used on the project. The final topcoat is polyurethane. The drawer has exposed dovetails for aesthetics.
The stands were made from cherry and the side panels were crafted with Cherry Veneer. The woodworking process took about two weekends and one weekend to apply the finish. Craftsman Todd Plentovich considers himself a hobbyist.
