Curly Maple veneer is cream to light reddish brown and highly figured with scattered curls and/or blisters. The curl/figure is sometimes referred to as "cross fire." The difference between Curly Maple and Fiddleback Maple is how it is cut. Curly comes from flat cuts while Fiddleback is quartersawn.
