We offer Camphorwood Burl in both High Figure and Medium Figure to suit your project's specific design needs.
High Figure: Features a dense, chaotic "swirl" pattern with tight clusters of burls and high contrast between light and dark tones.
Medium Figure: Offers a more balanced look, showcasing the unique burl pockets while allowing more of the natural wood grain to flow between the clusters.
The color palette is typically a warm mix of golden-yellow, reddish-brown, and occasional olive tones, providing a rich, multi-dimensional surface once finished.
Despite its intricate appearance, Camphorwood is a relatively stable wood. The burl clusters create a visual depth that is hard to replicate with any other species. It takes a high-gloss finish exceptionally well, which further enhances the "chatoyancy" (shimmer) of the grain.
