Replaced missing veneer on a dresser made in 1907. The dresser had been painted black about 30 years ago to hide the missing veneer. The project involved removing all paint, identifying the wood species of the original veneer and finding an acceptable match. There was no way to match the highly figured original veneer but I found something that worked.
This was my first time doing veneer and I watched a number of your videos to learn techniques. It turned out very well.

Bought some butternut veneer with 3M sticky backing for my son who is building us a bathroom vanity. The veneer is being used for door panels and upper cabinet sides and doors. The grain matched our drawer fronts perfectly. It took the fractionated coconut oil for finishing perfectly. He reported the sticky back was great to work with.

I used on a large radius headboard aprx 4'x8' using contact cement to large for vacuum bag and it came out perfect, not an imperfection on the entire surface and install was a breeze. The quality of the actual wood veneer is also top notch. Sanded to 220 & Osmo finish applied it came great.

I bought standard flat cut cherry with a 10 mil backer for a pair of bookshelf speakers I made for my daughter. The veneer was great quality, with a nice grain pattern. It appeared to be finished to about 220 grit from the factory.
I chose the 10 mil backer, even though it says For Pressing Only, as I had to wrap the veneer around both sides of the radiused front speaker baffle. I used heat lock glue, and it worked perfectly...no cracking or bubbles.
I tried a French polish finish for the first time, and it came out well. Not a mirror finish, but not bad for a first effort.
Overall, I am very satisfied with Oakwood Veneer. I have a bunch leftover, so will need another project.

I’ve been making decorative lights, and I found that the bamboo veneer lends itself to this process. It is thin yet quite durable and I found that sanding too sides with the shoji paper in the center produces a light but strong translucent face.

I bought a 4' by 8' Zebrawood Veneer - Quartered, Standard Quality, with 22.2 mil BFV (Bubble Free Veneer) backer and was very happy. The quality of the veneer was excellent and even surprised a friend who has been veneering projects for decades who said that 'Modern veneer isn't like the old stuff!'.
Installation was a breeze using Titebond III glue!
