Quartered Butternut Wood Veneer has a nice straight grain. It is a medium dark wood with a straight grain. Butternut veneer is used a great deal as interior trim in boats. It a very soft and light wood that is also referred to as White Walnut. When stained it is an excellent substitute to Black Walnut.
It is primarily found in North America.
