Wood Balance Backer Veneer Sheets
A good veneering project starts with a stable surface. Oakwood Veneer's Wood Balance Backer is designed for the back or underside of veneered plywood, MDF, and other suitable panels to help reduce the risk of warping, cupping, or twisting.
When you apply decorative wood veneer to one side of a panel, using a balancing veneer on the opposite side helps keep the construction more stable as the materials respond to changes in moisture.
Where to Use Wood Balance Backer
Wood Balance Backer is intended for surfaces that won't be visible in the finished project. Common applications include the backs of cabinet doors, furniture panels, tabletops, and other veneered surfaces.
Because its main purpose is balancing rather than appearance, it offers a practical option when you don't need a decorative wood grain on both sides.
What to Expect
The wood species, color, and grain pattern may vary from sheet to sheet. Product photographs are examples only and do not represent an exact species or grain match.
Wood Balance Backer may also contain natural imperfections or visual defects that make it unsuitable for a visible, finished surface. These appearance differences are expected for a non-decorative backer.
Looking for a cleaner appearance? If the back of your project will be visible, consider an appropriate decorative or economy-grade veneer instead. Our team can help you choose the right option for your project.
